Sometimes, our President can speak for himself, and speaks it plain.
I will continue to repeat:
2024: DEMOCRACY VS. FASCISM
Plain and simple.
We don’t have two functioning political parties.
We have one political party who is interested in governing. And, interested in doing the most for the widest swath of the American population possible.
And, the other political party are Republicans : pro-fascism from top to bottom.
PRESIDENT BIDEN AT TONIGHT'S NYC FUNDRAISER
“A lot of people seem focused on my age. I get it believe me, I know it more than anyone."
But Biden says “I knew what to do” when Covid hit, when Ukraine WAS attacked, when democracy was at stake.

Anti Little d DEMOCRACY
Stripping of Voting Rights

The fight for 2024 is for DEMOCRACY.
DEMOCRACY for everyone other than a White Heterosexual Male.
Look at what President Biden has been able to achieve. All the people that he has helped. He is rebuilding the reputation of the United States around the world. He is always working for the little guy. Bidenomics is the opposite of Reaganomics. I’m so happy that President Biden calls it out for what it is, and how everything bad in this country has its roots in Reaganomics.
I have thought from the beginning that Joe Biden is the President needed FOR THESE TIMES.
Any other time, and a Joe Biden Presidency wouldn’t pack as much a punch as it does now. It wouldn’t MEAN as much as it does now. Because President Biden knows what he is fighting for. He’s fighting for the United States of America. For it to continue to have its promise. To be able to be held out as a beacon. To be able to stand up for its creed , what while we fall short, is ALWAYS worth striving towards.
“I’m running because — hear this — I want the entire nation to join me in sending the strongest, clearest, most powerful message possible that political violence in America is never, never, never acceptable,” Biden said at Broadway fundraiser in NYC. pic.twitter.com/zpji7lubqW

“Because in 2024 democracy’s on the ballot once again, & let there be no question: Donald Trump and his MAGA Republicans are determined to destroy American democracy. And I will always defend, protect and fight for our democracy. That’s why I’m running,” Biden said at fundraiser.

Biden is now running Republicans’ own words as a pro-union ad.
This is genius. https://t.co/q2bp3mDUfj

Let’s be clear: Donald Trump is responsible for ending Roe v. Wade.

President Biden addressed questions about his age at a fundraiser on Broadway: “A lot of people seem focused on my age. I get it. Believe me, I know it more than anyone.” But said democracy is at stake and “I will not walk away now.”

Someone wrote on another blog that President Biden’s age is his superpower.
I agree. His age, combined with his decades in Washington, and actually WANTING TO HELP PEOPLE. His strength is the ability to inform his staff to get into the weeds of government and find the levers to help the average person. There’s a talent there. A skillset – from those who learn the ins and outs of government. Joe Biden is one of those people , and he staffed his Administration with them.
And for those talking about getting rid of the Vice President.
The ‘replace Kamala Harris’ chatter is off-base. And futile.

The only chatter less productive than arguing that President Biden shouldn’t run (he is running) is the new spate of “replace Vice President Harris” talk. Besides its futility (Biden has emphatically said she is on the ticket, and the campaign has begun), the critics make three glaring errors.
First, Harris is critical to turning out not only African American voters but young voters as well. One need only consider the rousing reception she received at Hampton University, a historically Black institution in Virginia, last week, on her first stop on her “Fight for Our Freedoms College Tour.” A raucous crowd welcomed her at North Carolina A&T State University the next day. She will travel to Reading Area Community College in Pennsylvania and Morehouse College in Atlanta and make stops in swing states such as Wisconsin, Nevada and Arizona. To hammer home the issues that touch these voters personally — guns, abortion, LGBTQ+ rights and climate change — the Biden campaign is smartly deploying her now, not as an afterthought in the final weeks of the campaign.
Young voters, who, as a group, are more diverse than older voters, are essential to a Democratic victory in 2024. And it’s not true that they cannot be engaged, particularly with the help of an energetic vice president — in this case, the first woman, the first African American and the first Asian American to hold the post. As the American Independent reported, the progressive data firm Catalist found that in 2022, “especially in heavily contested races, millennial and Generation Z voters, defined collectively in the report as voters born after 1981, broke decisively for Democrats in even greater numbers than they did in 2018.”
Moreover, a critical issue on which women and young voters are engaged — abortion rights — has been directly in Harris’s wheelhouse. She has revved up the base in multiple speeches, powerfully tying abortion to freedom. She engages frequently with pro-choice groups. Booting from the ticket someone identified with perhaps the Democrats’ most electrifying issue (Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization and the threat of a national abortion ban) would undercut a signature plank, one that many Democratic candidates will feature front and center in their campaigns.
Second, the critics calling for her ouster seem clueless about the firestorm that would ensue among the most loyal Democratic voting group, Black voters (especially Black women), should she be bounced off the ticket. Take a groundbreaking, historic figure off the ticket because Republicans have demonized her? That’s asking for a revolt that would swallow the campaign message and permanently damage the party.
I’m fine with Biden’s age because I’m fine with a President Harris. https://t.co/9e9xJv7Bm3
