This week was the last episode of This Is Us.
I came to This Is Us over halfway through the first season. I had read on the internet how each week it would bring you to tears, but people loved it. I binged all the episodes that I had missed in one weekend. And, I was hooked. I admit that the characters who brought me in were Randall and Beth Pearson, played by Sterling K. Brown and Susan Kelechi Watson. Had never seen a Black couple that were so relatable and real. I loved them, and their children.
Randall and Beth drew me in, but, the rest of the show was top knotch. The love story of Jack and Rebecca was wonderful. I had known Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore from other projects, and never thought that I would take them as seriously as I did.
This Is Us was well written, well-acted, and most of all, well-casted. The casting director of the show nailed every person. It was amazing…the younger actors, the older actors….they were so on the money. The casting was flawless.
